First Challenge: A “123 Recipe” Card

Today I’m entering my first Card challenge at Crafty Cardmakers hosted by Kim. The Challenge is called A Recipe Challenge 123. The card must contain 1 image, 2 background papers and 3 embellishments in which one must be a heart.

The image I used is a digital stamp from tiddlyinks . The Wryn collection.

I used two designer papers. One from the stamping up collection and the other a scrap. I do not remember what pack it came from.

For the embellishments I have hearts I cut out with with the cricut and pearls.

I really enjoyed this challenge and hope to enter many more. Thanks for checking out my blog.

I have also entered this card in the tiddlyink challenge #80 at Tiddlyinks
And DYSU #59 layers challenge at DoYouStackUp

Happy 4th Birthday to my beautiful son

Today my son turns 4 years old. I can’t believe how fast he’s growing up. I made a card for him this morning so I just wanted to share that on my blog. I made it right before I left for work so I rushed it. But I’m pretty sure he won’t mind. I used my cricut machine for the fish and my stampin up stamp for the birthday saying. I put a fish on his card because his uncle got him a fish tank. Love you Evan. You have brought nothing but happiness and joy to our lives! 🙂

Love my Kraftin Kimmie stamp!

So I received my Kraftin Kimmie stamp about two weeks ago but wasn’t able to use it because it needed to be mounted. What I mean when I say mounted is that the stamp was not attached to a wood block nor did it have a foam mount so that it can be used on a clear block. This was my first unmounted stamp so after some research I bought a sheet of ez mount foam on eBay and then adhered it the rubber stamp. I now can use my clear block to stamp it. I colored it in with my copic markers and I did it in a rush right before going to work just to show you how it looks colored in. If you have any questions email me 🙂

Baby shower handmade card

Today is my co-workers baby shower and she is having a candy station at the shower. I made her labels that she can wrap around the jars and also note cards that will have the type of candy the jar contains. I also made her a baby card. The layout I used for this card is one that Rosie used in one of her cards. (thanks Rosie). I also used a distress technique on the edges of the pattern paper. To do that I used my Martha stewart bone folder. The saying on the bottom is from my pink stamper baby stamp collection. I must say I absolutely love her stamps. The quality is amazing. You can check out her stamps at mypinkstamper.com and I purchased mine at craftsforfavor.com there price and shipping cost are not bad.
