Sneak peek! and New V’s Sweet Challenge Special Edition

Good Morning all! Today we have a couple of things going on. First I am excited to announce my first digi stamp called Caroline! I have been working on creating my very own digi collection and have been working on it for quite some while. This has been a dream of mine to do and I am delighted to now share that dream with you. She will be available online this friday at my online store. She will come as a jpeg and png. Stay tuned for a sneak peek of another digi stamp release this week.

We also have a very special edition challenge this week over at V’s Sweet Challenge blog! This week we are celebrating my birthday which is on July 20th. Our DT Members have created some amazing celebration cards for your inspiration. We hope you can join us this week and get a chance to win a $10 Gift certificate to our online store! The challenge will run from Monday, July 16th till Sunday July 22nd at 11pm.

Now here is my card I created using my first digi stamp ” Caroline”

Nestabilities storage

The one thing I hate about using my Nestabilities is having to take them out of their package to use them. I tried looking for different ideas and decided to use a chipboard album as storage. I used strips of magnet to hold them on the pages but didn’t have enough space for all my Nestabilities. So, while on pinterest I came across an idea from Ree and tried it out. I purchase a cd storage box from staples for 14.99 and magnet sheets for 9.99(4 sheets). Each sheet can be cut down to four squares to use in the sleeves giving you 16 pieces. It’s a great idea and makes it easier for you to grab what you need. I also love the blank tag ontop of each sleeve where you can write down the type of Nestabilities you have.

This is where I stored my nest abilities but I needed something that can hold all my nestabilities.

Friends Forever Card

For the friends forever card I used a new tiddlyinks stamp. I also incorporated some new digital techniques I learned from Lucy of Lucys Cards. The designer paper I used for this card were all from digi kits and I used Microsoft word to resize and color to my liking. The sentiment stamp is from SU and I used my nestabilities to cut it. I used copic markers to color in the girls. For this card I used a sketch from deconstructing jen’s current challenge.

I will be entering this card in the Deconstructing Jen challenge and tiddlyinks Friends challenge

This Card is also entered in the DDchallenge

Beyond the clouds……..

Mojo Monday’s has a new sketch challenge that I have decided to enter. I just got in my papertreyink stamp sentiments and I just couldn’t wait to use it. I’m pretty happy with the results of this card and the sentiment.

Mojo Sketch Challenge

Supplies used:

Stamp: papertreyink “movers and shakers sentiment stamp” cardstock: hero arts digital print and SU, Die cut: nestabilities circles and scallops. Ink: SU chocolate chip and tim holtz distress ink. Embellishments: Twine, pearls and paper flowers

Happy Easter!

Here is an easter card I made using Michele’s paper-piecing technique. I printed out the dress on designer paper and also cut out her arm. I love this technique because it really makes the stamp pop out. It was easy to do and will definitely be making more cards like this. I used a new Wyrn tiddlyink digi stamp and colored her in with copic markers and used prisma pencils for the background color.

Supplies used:

Stamps: Wyrn from tiddlyinks, teeny tiny wishes from SU.Copic E00, e00, e11, r20, E37, E35, E33, V12, C-5, 0, prisma pencils. Nestabilities “Labels Two”. Cardstock: SU pool party, cosmo cricket material girl, SU pawsitivily print. Ink: SU chocolate chip

This card has been entered in Mojo Monday sketch challenge!

Happy Birthday to you!

So here is another card I made for two new challenges. The layout of the card comes from the sketch challenge on Dutch Cards. I’ve never made a card using a sketch so this was fun to do. The second challenge is distressing on DYSU. I’ve used two types of distressing on this card. I distressed the sides of the paper using my bone folder and I also added distressing ink on the sides using a sponge. As for the image it is the Wryn collection from tiddlyinks. The paper comes from Stampin Up’s designer collection and the stamped saying is also from Stampin Up. The flowers are from wild-orchards Crafts.

Other challenge I have entered this card at is Paper Pretties
